Nationwide Swap Program (NWS) Update

By now, those employees who have been paired for a swap under the Nationwide Swap Program (NWS) should have been notified, via government e-mail, that a pairing was made. The e-mail gives the employee until 4:00 pm (EST) on October 30, 2015, to indicate whether they are interested in accepting a swap if the pairing is validated. After that date, HQ’s will begin the process of vetting the paired employees. Upon completion of the vetting process, employees will be notified that their swap is approved and a date will be set for EOD at the new station.

268 RGV employees were paired for a swap under the NWS. Unfortunately, 75 employees nationwide were disqualified from the NWS for putting their information into the system improperly, and yet another 107 employees nationwide were disqualified for inputting improper Border Patrol EOD dates, or because they didn’t have the Time in Service (BP EOD date after September 5, 2012) to qualify for the NWS.

Employees who inputted their information into the system improperly will be eligible to resubmit request for a swap under the NWS during the next solicitation period, which is expected to take place in January 2016. If you have any questions regarding the NWS, you can send an e-mail to admin@rgv3307.org or you can contact a member of the RGV3307 Executive Board.
