NBPC Shift Bid MOU (RGV – Texas)

The National Border Patrol Council has entered into an agreement with the Office of Border Patrol (OBP) and the RGV Sector to implement a Shift Bid MOU effective within the RGV Sector’s duty stations, and select specialty units and work locations.
The MOU will be in effect for a trial period to provide an opportunity to evaluate, discuss and address any concerns which may arise and only until the implementation of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The Union will be soliciting your input as to whether the Shift Bid MOU will be implemented at your duty station. A majority vote of those participating in the poll will determine whether the Shift Bid MOU is implemented at your respective duty station, or whether your duty station “opts-out” of the MOU implementation.
Only the votes of those who choose to participate will be counted and considered when the final votes are tallied. Please review the MOU, which is available here: Shift-Bid-MOU-April-2016 Or you can view it in hard copy at your respective duty station. The period for a vote will be three (3) weeks, and we will notify the employees once the polling begins.
If you have any questions regarding the Shift Bid MOU, please contact an Executive Board Officer or any of the Chief Union Representatives.
