This announcement is to serve as official notice to all Union Members of the upcoming Union Business Meeting for the National Border Patrol Council, Local 3307. The meeting is scheduled to take place at:

NOMINATION NOTICE – MARCH 29, 2022
FOR DELEGATES TO AFGE NATIONAL CONVENTION
AFGE Local 3307 will hold a regularly scheduled membership meeting at 7:00 pm on April 14, 2022, at the Local 3307 Headquarters (4179 Crosspoint Blvd.) in Edinburg, Texas. In addition to the regular business, and in accordance with the AFGE National Constitution, the Local’s membership will vote on the following matters:
- Whether the Local will participate in the AFGE National Convention in June 2022, where the delegates will elect the AFGE National President, AFGE National Secretary-Treasurer, and the AFGE National Vice-President for Women and Fair Practices;
- Whether the Local will be represented by delegate(s), alternate delegate(s), OR a proxy delegate;
- Whether the Local will: (a) authorize only its existing delegate(s) to cast the Local’s full membership strength at the AFGE National Convention; OR (b) elect delegates up to its full complement, in addition to the existing delegates.
NOTE: All elected Executive Board Officers of the Local are delegates to the AFGE National Convention by virtue of office.
At this meeting, the members will also vote on whether to fund expenses of the delegate(s) and/or alternate delegate(s) participating in the AFGE National Convention.
If the Local’s membership votes to elect additional delegates and alternate delegates, then nominations will take place on April 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Local 3307 Headquarters (4179 Crosspoint Blvd.) in Edinburg, Texas, with the election, if necessary, to be held on May 12, 2022, from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm at the Local 3307 Headquarters (4179 Crosspoint Blvd.) in Edinburg, Texas for the office of delegate(s) and alternate delegate(s) to the AFGE National Convention in June 2022. Qualifications: be a member in good standing; be a member for one year of an AFGE Local, immediately preceding the closing of the nomination process; and must not be a member in any labor organization not affiliated with the AFL-CIO. Each candidate may have a reasonable number of observers, who are members, present throughout the election process. Members who unavoidably are absent from the nomination meeting may make and accept nominations by way of letter, and also may request absentee ballots, to the Election Committee at P.O. Box 530308, Harlingen, TX 78553, no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022
